Sol Housing Bataan & Churchill
Location: Albuquerque, NMDate: December 2024
This project will create 46 affordable housing units for seniors on Albuquerque’s Westside, providing a comfortable and attainable living option for New Mexico’s elders. The development addresses a critical need for senior housing and ensures that older residents have access to safe and affordable accommodations.
Downtown Revitalization Bill
Location: Downtown AlbuquerqueDate: December 2024
GENM supports provisions within this bill that enforce penalties and fees for vacant or dilapidated real estate in downtown areas. The bill outlines minimum aesthetic and maintenance standards for buildings, holding property owners accountable for noncompliance. These measures aim to enhance the vibrancy and desirability of downtown by addressing neglected properties and encouraging revitalization.
CABQ 2024 Bike & Trail Plan
Location: Albuquerque, NMDate: July 2024
The 2024 Bike Plan prioritizes improvements to Albuquerque’s bikeway and multi-use trail network, ensuring accessibility for residents of all ages and abilities. The plan focuses on enhancing on-street bikeways and paved multi-use trails by reconfiguring existing roads to make cycling more comfortable and safe. These upgrades aim to foster a sustainable and bike-friendly community.
The Village Center at Los Ranchos
Location: Los Ranchos, NMDate: June 2024
This mixed-use development will revitalize a previously blighted area in the heart of the Village of Los Ranchos. It includes 204 units of affordable housing and 26 micro retail spaces for small businesses, fostering economic growth and community engagement. Future phases include a hotel, park, and additional retail spaces, creating 143 jobs and generating $14.3 million in payroll upon completion.
NOBIS Rehab Hospital
Location: Downtown AlbuquerqueDate: May 2024
An infill development located at Mountain and I-25 will deliver a 48-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility for New Mexicans in need of intensive care. This hospital will provide critical services for individuals recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other neurological disorders. The project will play a vital role in addressing gaps in New Mexico’s healthcare system and improving access to essential rehabilitation services.
New Mexico United Stadium
Location: Balloon Fiesta ParkDate: April 2024
A state-of-the-art, 5,000-seat multi-use stadium is planned for an infill site within the Balloon Fiesta Park. This project will transform an underutilized parking lot—currently vacant for 50 weeks of the year—into New Mexico’s premier sports venue. The stadium will serve as a significant investment in the community, creating a vibrant gathering space and elevating the quality of sports and entertainment facilities in the state.
